Abstract
Heavy landing of the tomato hind, Cephalopholis sonnerati (Valenciennes, 1828), locally called ‘thakkali kalava’ or ‘sivappu kalava’ (Fig.1), was recorded at Chennai Kasimedu Fisheries Harbour in July 2008 and August 2009.
