Abstract
It is a recognized fact that a knowledge of the environmental conditions and the reactions of fishes to the dynamics of oceanographic pattern is essential in predicting availability of fish in any area. But it is not easy to achieve this and the progress towards such an end is dependent on the intensity of work done and extent of coordination effected between the study of the two disciplines, oceanography, and fishery biology.
