The catch stati tics of Polynemus heptadactylus locally called 'Shende' with respecc to regional and seasonal abundance, depth-wise distribution and the inf luence of lunar phase s on the catches based on the l andings by the New India Fisheries Company's bull t rawlers 'Arnala' – ‘Paj’ and 'Satpati' - 'Pilotan’ working in the Bombay and Saurashtra waters, are presented.
