Abstract

India's rich resources of freshwater are not properly tapped for export production of shell fIShes and fin fishes, The demand for shell fishes and fin fishes is fast expanding, A few varieties of shellfishes such as freshwater prawn and cray fish and fin fishes such as eel and trout have good export potential, Therefore. it was decided by the Organising Committee of the INDAQUA - the first aquaculture show In Ind'ia to bring out this handbook for the benefit of farmers.
