Abstract
A female specimen of the blue eyed skate Raja ~niralerrrsL innaeus, 1758, measuring 48.9 cm total length was landed at the Cochin Fisheries Harbour on 10'hAugust 2003. The morphometric lneasurements of this specimen matched wilh those of the syntype Of R. ncellifrra deposited in the British Museum and Rnjn orellifern recorded by Samuel (1903).
