Abstract
The activities of the Central Marine Fisheries Research Station received added impetus during the year 1957-58. The programmes of work at the Headquarters Station at Mandapam and the various subordinate estabUshments at different centres were actively pursued. Additional Research/ Survey/Field Centres were opened at Kandla (Cutch), Bedi (Jamnagar), Malwan, Ganguli (Mysore State), Cape Comorin, Porto Novo, Adirampatnam, Masulipatnam and Balasore, and the Survey Centre at Kakinada was revived. Arrangements have been finahzed for opening two Field Centres at Dahanu and Alibagh on the Bombay Coast. The substation at Bombay has been shifted to the Botawala Chambers, Sir Pherozeshah Mehta Road, Bombay.
