Abstract
A number of specimens of this leptocephalus which belongs to Ophichathyid group were obtained from the ' do1 ' net catches at Versoa. Examination of these larvae showed variations in the length and height in the different specimens belonging to the same stage of growth as noticed in Muranesox talabonoides. The collection contains several larvae in different stages of growth and 3 typical growing stages and the full-grown leptocephalus are described here.
