Abstract
In the light of the various systematic revisions of penaeid prawns published in recent years from the Indo-Pacific and other regions, a general revision of Indian prawns of the family Penaeidae is attempted. Out of a total of 62 species present in the collection, 48 species included in 9 genera belong to the subfamily Penaeidae
