Abstract
Marine Fisheries Resources Research is the principal function of the vessel. It is well equipped for locating fish resources, assessing the extent of their distribution and quantifying the fish stocks in the column waters and on sea bottom through effective use of different fishing gears such as bottom trawl, pelagic and midwater trawls and long-line with the aid of modern underwater acoustics and electronic data processing systems.
