Abstract
The importance of technology transfer through education, training and extension programmes in the marine fisheries sector has been stressed from time to time in the successive Five-Year Plan proposals, in the reports of Parliamentary Committees and other reviewing committees} and more recently by the National Commission in Agriculture.
