Abstract
The total marine fish production in India during 1978 was estimated at 1.40 million tonnes as compared to 1.26 millon tonnes recorded during 1977, showing an increase of about 0.14 million tonnes (11.42%).The total all India marine fish production and its species composition for the years 1969 to 1978 is summarized in this paper. The trends in marine fish production in the various maritime states of India are also shown in this paper.
