Abstract
On 28-4-2004 four purseseine units operating at adepth of 18-20m,along the Gangoli coast of Udupi district of Karnataka captueed shoals of Penaeus indicus totalling 13,950kg. The boats individually landed 4000,3000,3500 and 3450kg.They fetched a market price of Rs.230 per kg.
