Abstract
Exploitation of prawn seed ,Penaeus monodon is common along the northern Andhra Pradesh coast. However, due to the increasing demand prawn seed collection has been introduced to the Midnapur district of Bengal. Extensive collections were reported from most of the fish landing centres of the district during June-August 1995 period.
