Abstract
The prawn feeds developed so far by the feed industries are undoubtedly expensive and not acceptable to the prawn farmers. A research and development programme on prawn nutrition and feed formulation was therefore deemed highly pertinent. This paper highlights the dissemination methods adopted and the technological advances made in achieving the goals of low cost practical feed formulation from locally available low cost ingredinets and also working out the economic viability of supplemental feeding.
