Abstract
An unusually large quantity of Lates calcarifer was caught in a single shore seine (Peddavala) at Venkatarayapur on 2-2-2002 around 13.00 to 14.00 hrs, operated at a distance of 1 to 1.5 kms and 6 to 8 mt depth . About 62 Lates calcarifer, each weighing 18.00 kg was caught in a single operation.
