Abstract

A Man With Versatile caliber, ranging in his fields from ship-building, Marine Biology, Green Energy, and Agriculture to Astronomy, Ali Manikfan, 84, is a polymath in an age that reveres specialists and where the education system is highly compartmentalized. He collaborated with CMFRI following his acquaintance with Dr. S Jones, former Director of CMFRI, which led to the classification of 400-odd marine species. He was awarded Padma Shri in 2021 for his contributions to the nation.
