    Abstract

    Indian Fisheries sector, one of the major contributors of foreign exchange earnings through export plays a major role in the global seafood export among the Asian countries. India exported 13.8 lakh tons of seafood worth an all-time high of US $ 7.08 billion (Rs. 45,000 crores) in 2017-18.
