Abstract
A dead specimen of the Indo-Pacific humpbackdolphin, Sousa chinensis was found washed ashore atKonad beach (110 16' N; 750 45' E), Kozhikode on 21stFebruary, 2016. The specimen was an adult femaleand measured 243 cm in Total Length (TL), havingcharacteristic 36 and 34 pairs of teeth in the upperand lower jaws respectively.
