Abstract
The fast pace of Industrialisation in the latter half of the 20th century,urbanisation and population pressure along with the increased human activities have been causing tremendous stress on the terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems all over the world. Man made pollution has been a major cause in upsetting the balance of nature.
